• Locally Stored Data: The App saves your settings (sensitivity, sound preferences) and a log of clap detections locally on your device. This data is not transmitted off your device.
• Automatically Collected Data: Third-party SDKs integrated into the App may automatically collect device identifiers, advertising data, and usage analytics to serve ads.
3. Permissions Used
The App requires the following Android permissions to function:
• RECORD_AUDIO: Required to listen for clapping sounds. Audio is processed locally in real-time and immediately discarded.
• CAMERA: Required to trigger the camera flashlight when the phone is found. The App does not take photos or record video.
• VIBRATE: Required to vibrate the phone as part of the alert.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MICROPHONE: Required to keep the clap detection running seamlessly in the background while the screen is off.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Required to show an active status notification when the background service is running.
• INTERNET: Required for third-party SDKs to serve advertisements.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you, primarily for advertising purposes. These services are:
• Google AdMob & Google Play Services: Used to display advertisements. They may collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, and crash logs. (Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy)
• Google User Messaging Platform (UMP): Used to gather user consent for personalized advertising, particularly in the EEA/UK regions in compliance with GDPR.
5. Data Retention
User preferences and detection history are retained locally on your device and persist until you uninstall the App or clear the App's data. Data collected by third-party advertising partners is retained according to their respective privacy policies.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share any personal information. Your local App data remains on your device. Advertising identifiers may be shared automatically by the integrated Google AdMob SDK to ad networks to serve relevant ads.
7. User Rights & Control
• Ad Personalization: Depending on your region, you may be presented with a consent form (via Google UMP) to opt-in or opt-out of personalized ads. You can also manage your advertising preferences through your device's Google Settings.

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
